Farmerdill...Thanks much for your corn planting recommendations. I planted six-sixty foot rows, spacing the corn seed 14-inches apart, with 48-inches between the rows. I staggered the planting and the furthest rows north should be ready for harvesting in a week. These were the rows which produced only a few acceptable ears in the previous year. I am averaging at least two to three ears per plant, and one plant has five ears! My new neighbor who works for the Ag Dept. was amaized when I showed him the corn.
I owe you one Farmer.
