we went blackberry picking yesterday and found the motherload of berry bushes!! i need ur help to know what they r. i used to pick there when i was little and about 4 years old up i'm now 31 if that helps to know the age of the plants. they have always been there that i know and from what i remember they r blueberry or huckleberry bushes. we want to make jams and pies and cobblers but i want to make sure what they r first to be safe just in case cuz i got 5 kids. any help would be great.

there is 2 types of bushes there along with blackberry and raspberry. these grow wild on the edge of woods into like 20ft back in the woods. there is tons of bushes there. one type is tall some taller than me and i'm 5ft 4" some r between waiste and knee high for the other type.
thanks,
silkie

All wild blueberries are known as huckleberries,Vaccinium spp.Your type 2 looks like V.ovalifolium, and the # 1 could be V.membranaceum.
