We need a closer picture, but the planting is typical of azaleas in the south.

I'll get a closer pic, unfortuantely it's my husband who remembers where we saw this and I've already sent him out for another pic and he got the wrong bush.

I'll send him again.

Okay, I guess we know it is not an evergreen. It has little red berries on it.

Okay, well if one more person says its burning bush - I guess it is. I read up on it and it said it is very invasive, which wouldn't matter much for my purposes.

what I am trying to find is a nice hedge row that will grow 5-8' and take part shade. (preferrably evergreen but, it doesn't have to be)

I live in zone 7. Any ideas?

Also, I need about three different kinds of fairly tall, evergreen trees for privacy. One that will handle shade, one that will handle part-shade and one that can handle full-sun. The group in full sun - can't be too wide - they would be up against a wood fence.

My back yard is completely empty!

For your "hedge row", have you thought about Magnolia grandiflora 'Little Gem'? Evergreen, smaller growing, blooms. The other option that I like, but not sure how they do in your area is Portugese Laurel (Prunus lusitanica).

For the privacy trees - not sure if Thuja 'Green Giant' does well in your area but it could quickly produce nice screening. Is there not an evergreen Oak native to Georgia? Just a thought.
