Behnke's Nursery...My boyfriend went there to buy a Norfolk pine and the sales staff was unable to help him find one, instead directing him outside to the outdoor bushes and trees. At that time he bought a mini rose bush instead, but a few days later we discovered it had a major aphid infestation.

I also visited there a couple of weeks ago to buy a hibiscus plant but all the plants had an infestation (maybe spider mites...not certain).

Overall, I give this place no stars and will not be back. The only reason to pay a little more and go to a nursery like Behnke's is for more knowledgeable staff and healthier plants...you get neither there.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I live in central Virginia, but drive up at least 2-3 times a year. I like indoor and triopical gardening, and they have a huge selection of plants, and so many in a starter size that's very reasonably priced. I have more than once called or emailed them for advice on a particular plant, and they have always responded, with valuable information. Very knowledgeable. They almost closed this store three years ago, and I was so happy they didn't.

Knowledgeable staff, good selection, and conveniently located, but overpriced in my opinion. Also, the facility seems to becoming a bit run down. Still, I frequent them because my only other nearby option is Home Depot.

Excellent variety of both perennial and annual plant material. Knowledgeable staff. 2 different locations. Only drawback is the pricing - on the high side.
