The scoop on 'Evergreen Nursery'

I did everything wrong when I ordered 44 conifers from Evergreen Nursery.

I ordered for shipment during the hottest week of the entire year, I specified a different shipping date, and then had the nerve to email and ammend my order after having sent it. I really did not know what to expect for a $5-10 conifer, but as they had a few of the more hard to find varieties of some things I wanted in stock I took a chance.

I was extremely happy when I opened those boxes. Not one brown branch or broken stem in the lot of them. The sizes were about what I expected with a few being larger than I expected. Each and every plant of the 44 I purchased were exceedingly happy and clearly very well grown- they were just screaming with good health. I really have never seen such happy little plants- it made quite an impression on me as they are literally lush and have obviously never wanted for anything!

They were very well packaged- tied into place and easy to unpack. I do wish they had been individually labeled as it was a bit of a puzzle to match numbers of plants to names on the invoice, but I got them sorted out in short order and into the ground they went. I have no doubt that they will grace my property for years- the roots were healthy and they are all off to a fine start.

I will definitely be ordering again!

I received my first shipment from Evergreen Nursery a few days ago. I opened the package that night, and set the trees out, but didn't have time to plant that night. The plants were very nice quality, and a very decent size. I was able to pot them up the next afternoon and get them into my nursery, and was thrilled with the root balls on the trees. I will definitely be ordering from this company again, and will recommend them to people as well. I can't wait to get the trees into the ground next spring.

LUV LUV LUV everything.!.!. great care was taken in packaging and the quality of the items received was A1+++. I waited a smidge longer for my first order but that would have been when everyone and their mother were ordering plants. This past order came within 2 days...
I order EVERYTHING online and have purchased live plants from several online nurseries for over 6 years. I have one, maybe two favorites, yet I continually shoot myself in the foot giving others a try. Well not this time! Evergreen is my new FAV... if these beautiful specimens dont thrive I would be shocked... (and probably blaming myself-lol) Thanks to Evergreen Nursery for a wonderful experience...I'll be back...LDavies

We bought a new home in Phoenix, AZ and had the task of landscaping in June and July 2007. The prices of the Naches Crape Myrtle were so attractive and reasonable, I decided to call Evergreen Nursery and ask them about planting in 114 degree heat. They were very helpful and advised me to go for it and I ordered 3. About 1 week later my order arrived safely and very well packed. The plants were only about 1 foot tall and I said to myself there is no way they would survive this intense heat. Anyway they were planted and struggled that first summer.. Now almost 1 year later they are nearly 3 ft tall and thriving and one of the plants is about ready to blossom. I will order from Evergreen Nursery again... Very positive experience......

I am a first time user of online ordering and I was a little hesitant. But the prices at Evergreen Nursery were excelent and I decided to order 5 Photinia online. Their site is user friendly and the everything went fine. I received the plants on schedule and the packing was excellent. The plants arrived in excellent physical condition, but I noticed leaf spot on every plant. I took pictures of some of the leaves and sent them as an attachment to an email to the nursery and ask if they could (a) verify that it was a fungus and, if so, (b) advise me how I should treat the plants. I didn't get an response. A few days later I called, got a voice machine and left a message describing the problem and asked if they would give me a call. No one called. Consequently, I consulted with a local nursery, got the fungicide I needed and treated the plants. Evergreen may be an excellent nursery, but their follow-up to orders leaves something to be desired.

We ordered 200 trees from Evergreen and they were shipped timely as promised. The owner is great and took the time to explain storing and planting. The trees were packaged well and all the trees were beautiful. Will definately order from Evergreen again.

I was very impressed with the quality and size of the stock and the way it was packaged. When I have e-mailed to designate a particular shipping time, I have received a very friendly and helpful reply. Everything seems to be handled by a real person and not a computer.

Second time ordering from this company. Very pleased with plants. Plants came packaged well for shipping. Even had to hold off planting some for a few weeks and they held up well. Would order from company again.

I ordered 2 Poncirus - Flying Dragons, and I don't think I've ever seen plants packed this well! The plants are very healthy & doing quite well.
I can highly recommend Evergreen Nursery & will definately order from them again.

Evergreen Nursery’s website claims that they ship out orders faster than most other nurseries and they aren’t kidding. I ordered three trees on a Friday afternoon and by the time I was at my computer Monday morning there was a tracking number waiting in my inbox.

Today, a week later, the trees arrived well-secured in their box with still moist, decent sized root balls. Two of the three trees are their Size 1 and both are adorable with healthy top growth. The third is a Size 2, which was much larger than I was expecting – most definitely a pleasant surprise.

All of three of trees are gorgeous and Evergreen Nursery’s prices were by far the best I could find for the varieties I ordered. An all around wonderful ordering experience.

Just recieved my order from these folk. Whew!...UPS did me wrong on this one..they were late delivering this for Friday..so..the UPS idiots..held it over the weekend..for a Monday delivery. So..because of the UPS idiots...I thought I was going to be looking at a disaster here. But...thanks to the good folk at Evergreen who must know a thing or two about packing their plants...the rootballs on all the plants were still nice and moist and the plants were still all nice and green.....even though they were in shipping for a whole week!

I placed an order with Evergreen Nursery for the first time this month (September 2007) for a Canadian Hemlock tree. Their prices were very good and they had a good variety of evergreens and other plants. The tree I ordered was shipped the very next day and I had it by the end of the week. Shipping costs were quite reasonable and Evergreen Nursery offered many different shipping options. The tree I ordered arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was actually quite large especially considering that the cost of the tree was less than $10. I would definitely recommend Evergreen Nursery and in fact, I have already placed a second order for a Gold Mop Cypress.

I received 25 #1 blue spruce via UPS yesterday. They arrived well hydrated and packed very well. No needles in the bottom of the box. The plastic that was protecting the root ball was still moist.

Excellent company and customer service. They emailed me when I ordered to ask me about shipping preferences. We are experiencing drought here in Northern MN and really appreciated the excellent shipping methods.

I do not plant in the fall in my area because we can have a frost as soon as mid September.

I ordered three evergreens from this company. The trees looked great and were well packed. I had such a great experience, that I won’t hesitate to buy from them again. Oh by the way, I received my trees in a couple of days; they were the fastest shippers I've ever dealt with!

Rapid shipping of very healthy plants. Amazingly well packed. I ordered some junipers and a number of arborvitae. The plants held up well after transplant. I'm very pleased with this company and the plants I received.

I ordered 11 green mound junipers on 4/10/2007 and they arrived on 4/13/2007. The plants were in excellent condition and were very well packaged. They were very small, but that was what i wanted. I would definitely deal with this company again.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The plants I ordered arrived in just a few days (I live in NJ) in perfect condition. They were really fresh, not like the plants at the local Home Depot! I would def. order from them again. In addition, their prices were great!

I received exactly what I had ordered within one week (TN to MO). The soft-touch holly was packaged well with concise instructions. The shrub itself was in great shape!

I wholeheartedly agree with every review below! I ordered 11 "Golden Globe" arborvitae over last weekend and they arrived yesterday, only four days later! They were very carefully packed and look beautiful and healthy. The price for the size I got was outstanding, probably about half what I would pay at a local nursery, if I could even get this variety. It is so refreshing to find a company that gives you more than you expected!

I am extremely happy with my order. I order 2 osmanthus plants and a ponicerus orange. All were very healthy and well packaged. The one gallon size plants were larger than what you can get at a garden center. They will get more business from me in the future. Order arrived promptly and corresponse was very timely.

The plants in this nursery are superbly cared for and the surroundings are clean and neat. They have a wonderful variety of unusual evergreen shrubs. And, I found two native trees (Sourwood and Blackgum) that I've been searching all over for. All around wonderful experience!
